Global Books In Print Online @ Your Public Library

The world’s largest bibliography is now available online at any public library in Saskatchewan. Global Books in Print (GBIP) allows Saskatchewan residents to look up 14.8 million book, audio book and video titles from around the world.

The new resource includes “Fiction Connection” and “Patron Books in Print”. “Fiction Connection” makes reading recommendations based on books that patrons have already read, authors they like or topics of interest. “Patron Books in Print” provides user-friendly lists such as winners and nominees of over 400 book industry awards, titles by favorite authors or fiction titles in a favorite series or a favorite character.

“We are thrilled to offer online access to Global Books in Print, Fiction Connection and Patron Books in Print for the entire community of Saskatchewan. Thank you to Saskatchewan Learning, Provincial Library for facilitating access to these databases,” comments Library Director of Wheatland Regional Library, Michele Fedyk.

To find these online databases visit the e-library services page of any public library system’s website, http://mylibrary.sk.ca . A Saskatchewan public library card is required to access these databases. To get a free library card, please visit your nearest public library. A listing of Saskatchewan public libraries is located on the Saskatchewan Libraries website at www.lib.sk.ca .
