Celebrate Aboriginal Storytelling Month with Wheatland Regional Library!



Wheatland Regional Library will host Jason Chamakese, Native American Flute recording artist and storyteller from the Pelican Lake Cree Nation during Aboriginal Storytelling Month. Saskatchewan Aboriginal Storytelling month is held throughout the province in February of each year to promote First Nations and Métis oral traditions and public libraries. The winter timing for the Storytelling Week observes the First Nations traditional time for storytelling.

Jason will perform at Venture Heights Elementary School in Martensville Monday, February 23rd at 2:00 p.m.
He will perform two shows in Biggar on Tuesday February 24; the Biggar Central School at 11:00 am, and St. Gabriel Separate School at 1:30 p.m.
All programs are free of charge!
