Description The Town of Biggar is known all over the world. It is
home to the Sandra Schmirler Park, the Hanson Buck, and Praire
Malt Limited, to name just a few. There is a saying “New
York is big but this is Biggar.” This catchy little phrase
has been seen on the signpost at Watson Lake, Yukon, has been
heard in Seattle, Washington, USA and has helped to put a ‘biggar’ mark
on the map for town. Biggar has had a library dating back to 1919. On November
23, 1967, the library moved to its present location at 202 3rd
Avenue West. The library was renamed the Biggar Lionel
A. Jones Wheatland Library on January 13, 1971.
The Biggar Library offers four public Internet Access computers,
one with a scanner. The library also has a word processing
computer and a photocopier. |
