Library Cards
To access the Wheatland Regional Library, you will need a library card, available at any branch of the Wheatland Regional Library, including Central Services located at 806 Duchess Street, Saskatoon, SK. Your free library card entitles you to borrow and view a variety of materials from the Wheatland Regional Library System and from other library systems in the province and in Canada through interlibrary loan. Print Collection Our print collection includes informational books, paperback novels, magazines, videos, children’s picture books, juvenile and young adult materials, reference books and more. Our online collection features thousands of published magazine and journal articles through InfoTrac and over 70 Canadian newspapers through Proquest. Online Catalogue Use the Library’s online catalogue to access WRL materials, bestseller lists, book reviews, Library programs and events. With your card, you may place materials on hold (including items that are on order) and they will be delivered to the branch of your choice for pick-up. Placing a hold puts your name on a waiting list and the branch library then notifies you by phone or email as soon as the material becomes available. Internet Access Free Public Internet Access Workstations are available for your use at all branch locations. Call or visit your nearest branch for booking information. Bring Your Card Make sure to have your card with you each time you visit in order to check out materials, place a hold, pay for overdue fines or replacement charges, book a Public Internet Access Workstation, or inquire about your record. Returning Materials Materials can be returned at any branch location. Please refer to the Branches page for a listing of locations. Lost or Stolen Cards If your WRL card is lost or stolen, please report it immediately by calling your nearest branch. A replacement fee of $2.00 will be collected. |
